Calibration

DHI System of Calibration
The DHI calibration system concentrates on metrology to meet the high demands of a quality driven environment. DHI controller/calibrators and monitors are recognized for their advanced design, features, functions, quality, durability and superior calibration solutions. The DHI piston gauge models cover the pressure range from low absolute pressures in gas to 500 MPa (75000psi) in oil. Uncertainties are measured and documented. These documents take into account environmental, instrumental and global uncertainties. By estimating these uncertainties, we are able to make accurate decisions and alterations based on the information gathered.

 

 

Automated Calibration Lab
A fully automated calibration lab significantly increases production time and decreases the chance for error. A sequence of pressure and temperature steps are programmed into equipment specific software allowing the calibration to stabilize and to be left completely unattended. Our laboratory calibration system allows us to calibrate up to 192 tools at once, with an accuracy of approximately +/- 0.02% on quartz tools and +/- 0.05% on piezo-resistive tools at full scale, and a temperature accuracy of +/- 0.5°C. The computers run on a Windows platform, which works through over 250 steps to ensure our tools provide accuracy and reliability, and each pressure reference is recalibrated each month with a high-end (0.002% accuracy) Dead Weight Tester (DHI PG7302). Our automated calibration lab is designed in accordance and acceptance to industry standards for accurate and safe pressure/temperature measurements.

Calibration Bath
Calibration Baths are generally set to one temperature and used to calibrate to a specific temperature. Depending on the temperature range required, different fluids are may be used in the bath.
